FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Creative Thriftshop in conjunction with Bronx’s own Haven Arts presents “On The Quickness”, a group show. Artists include Guerra De La Paz, Lena Merhej, Han Mori, Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz, Lai Chung Poon, and Augustina Woodgate, INKS, and her sister TooFly. about the artist: Guerra de la Paz is the composite name that represents the creative team efforts of Cuban-born artists, Alain Guerra and Neraldo de la Paz. What began as an idea for two individual artists to share a working studio in Miami's Little Haiti, has become an ongoing collaboration that has evolved into constant experimentation. about the artist: Lena Merhej received her BFA in Graphic Design from American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon and her MFA in Design and Technology from Parson’s School of Desgin in New York, NY. She currently resides in Beirut, where she works as a lecturer for the Lebanese American University. about the artist: Han Mori Born Oct 19th 1974 in Brooklyn, New York, Han Mori grew up Sheapshead Bay in a predominately Italian neighborhood. She received a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in 1996 and was also trained under contemporary master, the Art Students league in New York City. She was awarded several prizes and grants for her participation in “Yugo Next” a four year traveling exhibition. |

about the artist: Too Fly was born in Ecuador, and raised in her grandparent's humble Corona, Queens house, she is a graduate of SVA in NY and is considered one of the most successful female graffiti artists out there. about the curator: Born and raised in New York, Lynn del Sol currently lives and works in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In late 2003 she left the commercial art world and set to create a vehicle for expletory artists to exhibit their works to the public by founding {CTS} creative thriftshop, a young art company that represents international emerging and under-represented artists. about the gallery: Haven Arts Literally, a haven for the arts. Their vision is to develop a dynamic art space that promotes and represents visual art, dance and performance, poetry and other forms of expression in a vibrant format. |
